Containers for Change was launched on 1 October 2020 in Western Australia. There are different types of refund points available in Western Australia. These are:
Get your scheme ID: If you’re new to the scheme or just don’t have one yet, a scheme ID is a great way to receive your refund straight into your bank account.
OR You can donate / drop-off at registered drop off locations in the City at the below locations:
You will need to have a registered scheme ID (your own, charity or club)
*These are NOT drop-off locations. To donate to the schools and clubs below, use their Scheme ID on the label when donating your containers at a bag drop or depot collection point.

There are also some public Containers for Change cages/holders at various locations throughout the City of Kalamunda for people to collect the items and take them to the drop-off centres.

YES: Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard drink containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible for a refund. The lids from Containers for Change Containers can be returned in a separate container (not milk bottle lids).

Please do not crush any containers as the collection point will need to be able to identify the container as eligible or with self-serve depots the container's barcode has to be scannable for the machine to give you your refund.
