All City of Kalamunda residents are entitled to participate, including those renting. Species availability is subject to change. Some species may not be available on the day.

*Second scheduled event:  Sunday, 24th May 2020 from 9.00am - 12noon.

Residents are entitled to come to one event and collect their plants.

Each eligible resident can collect a total of 10 plants each for their property, however plants will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately City staff cannot hold or deliver plants.

Whether you are looking to replace those water hungry plants in your yard, want to attract more birds to your garden or have removed a weedy creeper from your fence and want a slow growing native to replace it, come and choose from a selection of hardy, local native plants!

Residents can collect 10 x plants per rateable property, and will also be able to ask our knowledgeable staff questions about how and where to plant their selected plants.

Food Plants For Residents will be available again this year, so if you are looking to establish a winter garden, the time will be just  right to get your garden going in preparation for a Spring harvest.

Residents will need to:

  • bring photo ID or equivalent (proof of address required),
  • a container to put you plants into and
  • be prepare to be in line for a short period, as the event is always quite popular.

Kids are welcome - there will be FREE activities available.
