About the Artists

Rhonda Hickey: Watercolours has been Rhonda Hickey's passion for over 10 years. Inspired by natural beauty she loves the sense of movement leading her to look at our local environment often choosing beaches, birds and flowers as her inspiration. Rhonda is now trying pastels as a new medium for some of her works which has led her doing larger pieces to capture our local environment. Rhonda is a member of the Watercolour Society of WA / Wanneroo Joondalup Art Society/ West Australian Art Society and the Pastel Society of WA.

Zena Axon: Drawn to art early in life from her artistic mother, Zena challenges herself continuously to learn new mediums and techniques. This local artist prides herself on her diversity in art skills and knowledge. Zena often paints landscapes with a strong connection to Australian Flora and Fauna. Whilst her works often include abstract resin, mosaics and ceramic sculptures her favourite medium of choice is acrylics.

Evelyn Feltoe: Watching her accomplished father for many years, has helped inspire Evelyn to embark on a relatively new self-taught art journey. Having previously dabbled in pencil portraits, she started painting with acrylics around 5 years ago primarily in realism and impressionistic styles. Evelyn's works utilises bold and bright colours focused mainly on nature. She recently exhibited her works as the Joodnalup City Exhibition as has some of works on permanent display at Stone Hair Art located in Swan Valley.

Dawn Vermeulen: Having always enjoyed drawing, Dawn commenced her art journey over 15 years ago focusing on watercolour painting. She attended art classes for a number of years and is now enjoying developing her own style. Dawn's work has a variety of subjects from landscapes to portraits, floral to figurative. She has exhibited in several local exhibitions at Joondalup Art Gallery, Joondalup Community Art exhibitions and Wanneroo Community exhibitions. She is currently coordinating the social painting group 'Let's Get Arty' based in Joondalup. Dawn hopes to explore and develop more abstract works as her next challenge.
