Nominations open to join ‘Inclusive Community’ focus group

The City of Kalamunda is calling on interested community members to nominate by June 30 to be part of a focus group, which will guide the delivery of inclusive initiatives.

The City of Kalamunda is calling on interested community members to nominate by June 30 to be part of a focus group, which will guide the delivery of inclusive initiatives.

Telethon, in partnership with Inclusion Solutions, have funded this project within the City of Kalamunda to create more inclusive, better connected communities.

Mayor John Giardina said, “Our vision is to create a community where everyone, of all needs, abilities and backgrounds feel welcome. Through the experience and expertise of this focus group, we will be able to drive inclusiveness in our community and change the lives people living with disability.”

“The focus group is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about creating change and improving the wellbeing of everyone in the community. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to submit an expression of interest to join.”

Members of the focus group will act as inclusive champions in the community and will need to meet on a monthly basis in the City of Kalamunda.

Interested people can nominate by completing an expression of interest online at engage.kalamunda.wa.gov.au or via a hard copy form from any City of Kalamunda Library or the Administration Building at 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda.

Nominations close 30 June 2019.
