*2023-2024 Due to seasonal conditions no permits to burn will be issued, or pile burning permitted until further notice.

DO NOT BURN THESE ITEMS AT ANY TIME: Pallets, Tyres, General Rubbish/Junk, 1Copper chrome arsenate (CCA) treated timber or 2wet or green refuse.

It is your responsibility as a property owner or resident to be aware of any bans in place before undertaking activities such as use of wood/solid fuel barbecues or pizza ovens as well as agricultural such as harvesting.

The Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions website list their scheduled prescribed burns that are underway via their website.

1Burning CCA treated wood creates toxic smoke that can be hazardous to health
2If your fire has wet material or is otherwise poorly managed, it can lead to excessive levels of smoke and can result in a neighbourhood nuisance. If the level of smoke is deemed to be creating a nuisance the City may issue an infringement.
