The Skip Bin service is an on-request service. Residents can select from either a general waste bin (blue) or green waste bin (green). Households are entitled to any combination of up to three skip bins per financial year (excludes commercial and industrial
premises). Both the general and green waste skip bins are three (3) cubic metres.Households that meet the following criteria are entitled to an additional green waste bin(s) only, to assist with bush fire management.

Residents can select either a weekday or weekend delivery. Please inform Cleanaway of your preference when ordering the skip bin.
Delivery and collection of skip bins to verges are done at anytime between 7am - 6pm on allocated day.

Skip bins will remain on your verge for up to, four evenings and three to four (3-4) days, depending on the delivery day.
* Delivery or pickup dates may be adjusted to meet operational and logistic requirements, however the duration on your verge will not be less than what is indicated above. Please note there is increased demand for weekend skip bins and waiting times may
apply. To avoid disappointment, it is recommended residents contact Cleanaway two to three (2-3) weeks prior to your desired delivery date.
NOTE: Any form of abuse or violence towards Cleanaway staff will not be tolerated and may result in your services being terminated.
Residents who do not have a verge, in most cases will still have access to the bulk bin service. If you have no suitable verge or location to place the bin, alternative drop off locations within your property boundary maybe considered by Cleanaway. This will be determined on a case by case basis.
For residents who have previously engaged this service, the City has documented your previous drop-off locations. This information has been passed on to Cleanaway and skip bins will be placed in the same location.
In rare instances, due to geographical constraints it may not be possible to place a skip bin on your verge or property. As such, residents are entitled to a credit as highlighted in the fees and charges.
In some instances the bin may arrive full, however it will be emptied by the end of the working day. For this reason, the City advises that any hired contractors such as gardeners are not booked for the day of delivery. A full bin will not affect the duration you have the bin for.
It is also recommended to wait until the booking has been confirmed prior to booking such services.
When a property changes hands the new owner receives a new full year allocation of skip bins valid until 30 June. If a rented property has new tenants this does not apply.
The new resident needs to call Waste Services on 9257 9835 to advise that they want their allocation reset.
