Free property walk-throughs and a chance to win!
Prepare for bushfire season
It may be hard to imagine those hot windy summer days when we’re in the middle of winter – but now is the time to be thinking about getting your property prepared for bushfire season.
Check the Fire Hazard Reduction Notice you received with your rates, and make sure your property is compliant by 1 November 2026.
Not sure what you need to do? The City of Kalamunda offers free pre-season property walk-throughs to all City of Kalamunda residents to help them identify what they can do to help keep their home and family safe this bushfire season.
These visits are designed to help you prepare, not to check up on compliance, with practical advice tailored to each individual property. Book a visit from one of our friendly team of bushfire preparedness officers - just hop online at engage.kalamunda.wa.gov.au for more information.
Plus, complete our online bushfire preparedness survey and go into the draw to win a STIHL battery pruner or grass clipper.
The survey closes on 31 October 2026. Visit engage.kalamunda.wa.gov.au for more information.
