An event is an organised gathering of people brought together for entertainment, leisure, or a common purpose. Importantly, they are open to the general public and can be both ticketed and free. Activities for events will generally include food, drink, and entertainment.
In the City of Kalamunda all events must meet our requirements and guidelines to be approved. These requirements and guidelines are in place to ensure your event runs smoothly and are in code with public heath and safety standards.
Free and ticketed events are open to members of the public, groups and/or organisations.
Events where compliance with legislation is required e.g. there are temporary food stalls, temporary electrical fittings are used, temporary public buildings and marquees are erected, or temporary toilet facilities are required.
Where an event may exceed the assigned levels noted in the noise legislation.
Your event requires compliance with Health and Noise Regulations.
Any event where the City considers it could have an impact on the surrounding community.
If your event involves the use of a City venue or premises outside the usual operation hours at selected location.
Your event is for private members only e.g. private weddings, family events, birthday parties etc. where the general public are not invited and events that take place at home
It is the event organisers responsibility to ensure their event adheres to current Government guidelines and regulations.
It is important to keep staff, customers and community safe from the risks of COVID-19.
