The disposal of any commercial waste incurs a waste disposal charge. City of Kalamunda residents and ratepayers do not pay fees for non-commercial use of the Walliston Transfer Station. To gain access, you will need to bring your Entry Pass along with Photo Identification with residential address (i.e. Driver's Licence).
Apply for a Vehicle Permit
Cars | Trailer 8ft x 6ft (2.4m x 1.8m) or under | Utes (2 or 4 door).
Vehicles and/or trailers with commercial signage (all types and sizes up to 3.5T GVM) | Trucks (up to 3.5T GVM) | Vans (all types and sizes up to 3.5T GVM) | Oversize Trailers for green waste only (maximum 12ft x 6ft).
Vehicles with gross weight over 3.5 GVM tonnes. Horse floats and car towing trailers.
This Vehicle Permit Scheme applies to City of Kalamunda residents who use:
• Branded / commercial vehicles and / or trailers• Oversized trailers for green waste only up to a maximum length of 12ft x 6ft (excluding car trailers and horse floats which are not eligible)• Vans up to a maximum of 3.5 tonne GVM• Trucks up to a maximum of 3.5 tonne GVM
Vehicle Permits are not available for those living outside of the City of Kalamunda.The Vehicle Permit system addresses a range of issues, including the disposal of commercial waste and improved health and safety.
If you have obtained a Vehicle Permit for a commercially signed or badged vehicle, the City of Kalamunda reserves the right to charge a commercial fee if it is deemed that the waste brought to the site is of a commercial and not a household nature.
The City of Kalamunda monitors site usage and reserves the right to make further enquiries of the owner of the vehicle and at the premises from which the waste originated. Waste needs to be carried safely and vehicles bringing waste to the site should at all times comply with the Road Traffic Act (1974).
Please note: Vehicle Permits do not have an expiry date. You can continue to use them provided all information on the Vehicle Permit is correct. If you have changed your vehicle, please complete the application form. Updated Vehicle Permits will be posted out to you. Simply complete, sign and return the application form.
You are still required to present your Vehicle Permit and your Entry Pass if you are bringing green waste and/or certain recyclables to the site. Please refer to your entry pass for a list of accepted recyclables.
Vehicle Permits are not available for those living outside of the City of Kalamunda.
