Vehicle Permit

1. Residents must present the Gatehouse Attendant with their current Entry Pass (EP), photo ID with corresponding residential address and Vehicle Permit (if applicable) for entry to the Walliston Transfer Station. Entry will not be permitted if any or all of these items are not presented.
2. The Walliston Transfer Station is for use by City of Kalamunda Residents only. If you are not a Resident of the City of Kalamunda you will not be permitted to enter the site.
3. The Walliston Transfer Station accepts EFTPOS payments only.
4. Fees apply for the disposal of tyres.
5. The City of Kalamunda reserves the right to inspect all loads. Any Resident deemed to be disposing of commercial / trade waste will be required to pay commercial fees or leave the site.
6. Vehicles greater than 3.5 tonne GVM are not permitted.
7. Trailers over 8ft x 6ft (2.4m x 1.8m) are not permitted unless you hold a current Oversized Trailer Permit for disposal of greenwaste only. No horse floats or car-towing trailers.
8. The instructions of Walliston Transfer Station staff and advisory signs must be complied with at all times.
9. Residents enter the Walliston Transfer Station at their own risk.
10. Please observe speed limits and safety directions.
11. Be aware of moving machinery / vehicles at all times.
12. Smoking is not permitted.
13. Climbing or removing materials from stockpiles is not permitted.
14. Scavenging and removal of materials from the site is not permitted.
15. Children (under 16 years) and pets must remain in the vehicle at all times.
16. It is the residents' responsibility to unload their vehicle. Please use safe lifting techniques and you are encouraged to wear gloves and any appropriate PPE.
17. Hazardous waste including asbestos/ hardiflex, chemicals, fire extinguishers, gas bottles, liquids, paints, sand or dirt, putrescible waste, food waste, medical waste, corrosive, toxic, radioactive, flares, rocks, asphalt, lawn sod, EPIRBs, ammunitions and explosives are NOT accepted.
18. The Walliston Transfer Station staff have the right to refuse entry to, or accept waste from any person.
19. Abusive or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in revocation of your Entry Pass and/or Vehicle Permit (if applicable).
20. Failure to comply with any of these conditions may result in revocation of your Entry Pass Permit (if applicable).
21. All incidents / accidents must be reported to Walliston Transfer Station staff.
22. CCTV and audio surveillance may be in operation at this location. 
23. We encourage you to wear enclosed shoes at all times.

This Vehicle Permit Scheme applies to City of Kalamunda residents who use:

• Branded / commercial vehicles and / or trailers
• Oversized trailers for green waste only up to a maximum length of 12ft x 6ft (excluding car trailers and horse floats which are not eligible)
• Vans up to a maximum of 3.5 tonne GVM
• Trucks up to a maximum of 3.5 tonne GVM

Vehicle Permits are not available for those living outside of the City of Kalamunda.
The Vehicle Permit system addresses a range of issues, including the disposal of commercial waste and improved health and safety.

If you have obtained a Vehicle Permit for a commercially signed or badged vehicle, the City of Kalamunda reserves the right to charge a commercial fee if it is deemed that the waste brought to the site is of a commercial and not a household nature.

The City of Kalamunda monitors site usage and reserves the right to make further enquiries of the owner of the vehicle and at the premises from which the waste originated. Waste needs to be carried safely and vehicles bringing waste to the site should at all times comply with the Road Traffic Act (1974).

Please note: Vehicle Permits do not have an expiry date. You can continue to use them provided all information on the Vehicle Permit is correct. If you have changed your vehicle, please complete the application form. Updated Vehicle Permits will be posted out to you. Simply complete, sign and return the application form.

You are still required to present your Vehicle Permit and your Entry Pass if you are bringing green waste and/or certain recyclables to the site. Please refer to your entry pass for a list of accepted recyclables.

Vehicle Permits are not available for those living outside of the City of Kalamunda.
