The function of the Office of the CEO is to lead the organisation ensuring compliance with legislative and legal requirements through the management and implementation of decision-making processes. Ensure the City operates in a financially sustainable manner. Manage and mitigate risks and delivery of major transformational projects. Assist the Council in direction setting for the City and maintain highly effective external advocacy and relationship.

The function of Development Services is to oversee urban and regional planning processes and assess developments to meet statutory requirements while ensuring high quality built form outcomes for the City of Kalamunda. The area also manages development compliance, regulatory services, environmental health and community safety.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Masters in Business Administration and is a graduate from the Advanced Management Program from Melbourne Business School. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a member of Local Government Professionals.
The function of Asset Services is to plan, design, construct and maintain the physical assets of the City as well as to plan and manage the protection the natural areas under the control of the City and provide waste management services for the City.

The function of Corporate Services is to coordinate internal corporate services provision and functions to the organisation and deliver external service relevant to economic development, tourism and culture the arts and library services.
