The application must be submitted each year prior to 1 October as the Fire Hazard Reduction Notice requirements may be subject to change.

NOTE: A variation is not an exemption, and you must outline the alternative prevention measures you plan to undertake on your application.

If you consider for any reason that it is impractical to meet the requirements as per the Fire Hazard Reduction Notice you may apply in writing to the City of Kalamunda no later than 1 October.

An administration fee of $150 applies to applications submitted and/or received after 1 October.

Apply for a Variation

If a Variation is not approved, you must comply with all relevant conditions of the current Fire Hazard Reduction Notice.

Submit your request to the City before 1 October for your Variation to be considered.

A City Community Bushfire Preparedness Officer will then be in contact once your appliance has been received to organise a suitable time to attend the property for an inspection of the area/s where a Variation has been requested.
