Environmental Works: Crumpet Creek Reserve, Maida Vale

Project Status : Complete
Estimated Completion Date : mid-May 2022
Location : Crumpet Creek Reserve, Maida Vale

As a part of on-going reserve management, the City of Kalamunda are conducting landcare works to sections of Crumpet Creek Reserve located in Maida Vale. These works are due to commence within the Crumpet Creek Reserve bounded by Holmes Rd to the East and Leschenaultia Way to the West.

The team will be conducting woody weed removal in this area.  Woody weeds such as Sydney Golden Wattle (Acacia longifolia) need to be removed to aide the native flora to thrive. The weeds will be removed using an excavator to grind the weeds down and mulch the surrounding landscape in preparation for native revegetation.

Works will occur between 7am - 5pm during the following dates:

  • Week commencing 11 April 2022: Mechanical removal of woody weeds and debris
  • Week commencing 18 April 2022: relocation of culvert adjacent to Holmes Road
  • Week commencing 9 May 2022: Site preparation for revegetation.

Weed control will continue to be undertaken as required.

The City of Kalamunda is committed to maintain our natural environment through the implementation of the Kalamunda Environment Strategy.

All project related matters should be directed to the City of Kalamunda via the details provided below.
