Project Details

Preliminary works are scheduled to start March 2022.

Please be advised that as part of the Great Eastern Highway Bypass project, Kalamunda Road west of Abernethy Road will be closed from approximately November 2022 for 18 months.

Detours are being arranged, and the community will be notified through MRWA’s comms closer to the date.

Work involves two main stages:

1. Demolition of the old bridge and construction of a new bridge with dual lanes in both directions, and
2. Reconstruction of the intersection of Kalamunda and Abernethy
