UPDATE: 3 November 2021 - Due to the wet weather, some of the concrete works have been slightly delayed. The footpath construction on the north side has now commenced, with the contractors expected to complete concrete works in the next week.
7 October 2021 - Due to wet weather the last few days, works have been delayed. However, the team are in the final stages of completing the project works. Final stages for sealing are now underway with the off ramp scheduled to have it's final asphalt laid in the next week. There is expected to be a slight delay in fully reopening the off ramp while the team de-mobilise and remove equipment.
6 September 2021 - Although the lighting has been installed, last month’s heavy rain unfortunately impacted our schedule. With the predicted improved weather, we’re on track for a mid-October finish date!
21 July 2021 - Due to ongoing weather conditions, works at this site have been temporarily paused. Works are expected to resume from 2 August 2021.
These works will involve the construction of a new roundabout at the current intersection of Maida Vale Road and Roe Highway off ramp. Works will include earthworks and a new pavement treatment on all approaches, with drainage and street-lighting upgrades.
This project was awarded to HAS Earthmoving.
Note there will be no exit available from Roe Highway to Maida Vale Road during this time. Traffic management may be in place during various periods of this upgrade. Please be patient and follow signage and directions accordingly.
