Presenting an exciting opportunity for musicians to experience expert tuition in Baroque performance from one of Australia’s leading Baroque musicians.
We are seeking expressions of interest from musicians wishing to participate in a Masterclass in Baroque performance led by Helen Kruger, Artistic Director and Lead Violinist of Australian Baroque. The Masterclass will include Baroque performance technique, interpretive skills and musical expression.
Applications will close at 3pm on Friday 13 September 2024.
Three musicians will be chosen to participate for 20 minutes each. The hour-long Masterclass which will take place on Friday 27 September 2024 at 4pm, in the Theatre at Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre.
To apply, musicians must be a minimum of AMEB Grade 6 or equivalent and have at least one piece of Baroque music prepared. Applications are welcome from all ages and on any instrument.
The Masterclass is open to all to watch. Audience members can purchase tickets for $10. If you are chosen to participate, you will be required to confirm your place with a participation fee of $25 which includes your seat in the audience.
Following the Masterclass at 7:30pm, Australian Baroque will perform Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Tickets for this concert should be booked separately to the Masterclass.
