The City of Kalamunda is holding an election by postal vote on Saturday, 16 October 2021 to fill six (6) vacancies in the offices of Councillors.

Works are scheduled to run Monday 20 to Friday 24 September with asphalt repair works as needed the following week.

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of Council will be held in the Council Chambers, Administration Centre, 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda, on: Tuesday 17 August 2021 commencing at 6.30 pm.

The City successfully applied for a grant from the Commonwealth’s Road Safety Awareness and Enablers Fund to deliver tailored road safety messaging to the local community over a 12-month period, ending February 2022.

Council at its Ordinary Meeting held 25 May 2021 resolved to adopt the Local Planning Policy 31 – Container Deposit Scheme Infrastructure in Residential Areas, pursuant to Clause 4(3)(i) and Clause 4 (4) of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations 2015.

The City of Kalamunda is moving forward with its plans for the development of a new aquatic facility following the 22 June 2021, Ordinary Council meeting, where Council endorsed a draft Business Case for the purposes of seeking public comment to help guide the project.

At the Ordinary Council Meeting held 25 May 2021, Council resolved to ADOPT the proposed Local Planning Policy 26 for the purposes of advertising for a period of 21 days pursuant to Schedule 2, Part 2, Clause 4(1) of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

The Perth and Peel four-day lockdown will be lifted at midnight tonight as planned with a staged step down in restrictions for the next 10 days.

The City has closed its buildings, venues and facilities to the community in response to last night’s announcement by the State Government regarding restrictions for Perth and the Peel region for a minimum of four days until 12.01am Saturday 3 July 2021, pending ongoing health advice.
