A reminder about the placement of your bins - it is expected that an owner or occupier of premises shall:
This year, to help with the new transition to FOGO, Council have provided an additional bin collection over the Christmas and New Year period for all residents.
For the two full weeks over the Christmas and New Year period (from Monday 23 December until Saturday 4 January) all three bins will be collected.
Bring out all three bins – general waste, recycling and FOGO. There will be no missed bin collections, so make sure your bins are out before 6am on your bin day.
If your usual bin day falls on or after a public holiday, your bins will be collected on the following day.
The table below summarises the changes:

Includes mattresses, ensemble bases (bed frames not eligible), air-conditioners (split systems only, excludes evaporative units and ducting), dishwashers, heaters, hot water systems, microwaves, ovens, hotplates, washers, refrigerators and freezers (these do not need to be degassed as this will be done on-site).
Residents can drop off their mattresses and whitegoods at Walliston Transfer Station with their entry pass and proof of identification. NOTE: Disposal of mattresses and whitegoods count as a general waste entry. (whitegoods do not need to be degassed as this will be done On-Site).
Collections of Mattresses or Whitegoods:The City of Kalamunda offers a mattresses and whitegoods collection service. Items must be on the verge. We do not collect from private properties or carports. Payment can be made over the phone or in person at the City of Kalamunda Administration, 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda. View current fees for this service here.
To arrange collection of your mattresses or whitegoods please contact the City on 9257 9999. Residents need to advise the customer service officer of the date the items will be placed on the verge for collection. Please ensure the items are placed on the verge neatly by the date advised. Please note we are unable to collect from private properties or carports due to insurance purposes.
The service is not available for furniture or any other household items.
Items must be cancelled prior to the Waste Crew attending to remove the items at least 24 hours prior. If our Crew have already attended once and items are not on the verge, we will attend only once more.
