The 22nd annual Bickley - Carmel Harvest Festival will be celebrated on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May 2019.

Celebrating the end of the region’s harvest season, the festival is an opportunity for local venues to showcase their award- winning wines, ciders and gourmet  produce in the stunning Bickley - Carmel Valley, which is situated just 35 minutes East of Perth.

Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce President, Caroline Babbage is excited at the momentum that this year’s festival has.

“This event has continued to grow over the past 22 years. It plays such an important role within the Hill’s community, and we are proud of what we have achieved in using this event as a catalyst to promote tourism within our region.”

Visitors to the valley can follow the Harvest Trail map or download the festival app to choose which venue or producers they would like to visit. With many Bed and Breakfast accommodation options located throughout the valley, perhaps a weekend can be spent enjoying the full experience of what is on offer.

The Festival boasts nineteen unique venues. Live music and children’s activities prove a common theme. With the popular Scarecrow competition at Myattsfield Vineyards returning again this year to raise needed funds for Muscular Dystrophy WA.

Venues which provide a Harvest Festival Lunch, do require a reservation, ensure you make a booking to avoid disappointment.

City of Kalamunda Mayor John Giardina said the City of Kalamunda had been a long time supporter of the Bickley Harvest Festival.

“This is an event that showcases the amazing produce of our region. Our wineries, cideries, restaurants, accommodation – all of our tourism venues.”

“We live in a beautiful part of the world that attracts visitors from near and far. Over the last five years, Kalamunda has welcomed an average of 295,000 visitors a year and we’ve made it a key priority to develop and enhance this experience.

“I encourage everyone to come and discover what the Perth Hills is all about, and Harvest Festival is the perfect weekend to do so.”

The Bickley Carmel Harvest Festival is proudly owned and operated by the Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber would like to acknowledge and thank The City of Kalamunda, the Major Sponsor, as well as Echo News, Power Creations and Zig Zag Graphics who have been supportive Sponsors of this event for many years.
