You may wish to undertake the following steps to limit the effects of smoke and embers around your property.

• Remove washing from clothes lines
• Close windows and manage your evaporative air conditioners
• Remove shade sails and other items possibly affected by embers or heat

You may notice smouldering logs, embers and smoke coming from the burnt area for a few days afterwards. This is normal. If you have concerns and the fire is increasing in size call the Fire Brigade on “000”

The City Fire Crew do follow-up checks during office hours on all hazard reduction burns in the following days to ensure community safety.
