The City of Kalamunda is continuing with their Plants for Residents program to support the foundation of natural habitat and improvement of urban canopy across the City.
The program aims to promote the re-vegetation of residential and rural properties, with the 2022 program seeing 50 different varieties of plant species being made available, amounting to over 13,000 seedlings being distributed to residents.
Residents can select their preferred scheduled timeslot for choosing their very own plants online on the City’s website from Wednesday 3 May at 9am.
Mayor Margaret Thomas said, “Residents can order their plants from 9am on Wednesday 3 May. Generally the program is very popular and so I would encourage residents to come into the administration if they need a hand placing their order, or visit the website from lunchtime.”
“Residents can also visit their local library if they need some assistance using the computer to place their plant orders.”
Households can select up to 15 plants, with a limit of two plants per species.
Plant pickups will be held at the Woodlupine Community Centre, 88 Hale Road in Forrestfield, on Saturday, 27 May.
