City Opens Annual Cultural Activities and Events Sponsorship Program
The City of Kalamunda is excited to announce the opening of applications for its Small Event Sponsorship and Cultural Activities & Event Sponsorship program. Funding is limited, so local community groups and organisations are encouraged to apply before the application deadline on 15 May 2024.
Mayor Margaret Thomas emphasised the significance of the funding program, stating, "Over the past decade, our sponsorship initiatives have been instrumental in supporting diverse projects that enrich our community and showcase our region's strengths. They have played a crucial role in boosting community engagement and enhancing the profile of local groups."
Funded projects are expected to take place between August 2024 and June 2025, aligning with the City's commitment to fostering a vibrant cultural scene and providing enriching experiences for residents and visitors alike.
"We have witnessed the positive impact of these sponsorships on a wide range of initiatives, from community events to cultural festivals and youth programs. These programs reflect our dedication to nurturing a dynamic and inclusive community,” Cr Thomas said.
The Small Event Sponsorship and Cultural Activities & Event Sponsorship program is an integral component of the City's Community Engagement and Events strategies. They aim to create opportunities for residents and visitors to participate in a diverse range of events and cultural activities that celebrate our community's spirit and diversity.
