City of Kalamunda Supports the 2025 Perth Hills Gran Fondo
Cycling enthusiasts, get ready - the Perth Hills Gran Fondo returns on Sunday 30 March 2025, offering cyclists a thrilling ride through the breathtaking Perth Hills.
City of Kalamunda Mayor Margaret Thomas is encouraging cyclists of all levels to take part in this exciting community event.
Participants will set off from the Gooseberry Hill Hall, embarking on a scenic and challenging journey through some of the most picturesque landscapes in the Perth Hills. With well-supported hydration and food stops along the way, riders can focus on enjoying the ride and pushing their limits.
“The Perth Hills Gran Fondo is a fantastic way to challenge yourself, enjoy our breathtaking hills landscape, and support a great cause. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a first-time participant, there’s a ride for you,” Mayor Thomas said.
“This year’s event supports Alzheimer’s Research Australia, so every kilometre you ride contributes to vital research and early detection initiatives. We are proud to welcome participants from across the region and beyond to experience the beauty and challenge of our local cycling routes.”
The Gran Fondo features three route options—Piccolo (45-50km), Medio (85-90km), and Gran (135-140km)—catering to all abilities.
The ride will take participants through Kalamunda, Gooseberry Hill, Boya, Darlington, Mundaring, Carmel, and Pickering Brook.
The event will proceed under normal traffic conditions with no road closures, and motorists are encouraged to be mindful of cyclists throughout the morning.
