Growing our Future Young Leaders for Youth Week 2025

07 April 2025 11:01 AM

Be part of something bigger! The City of Kalamunda is calling for young, aspiring individuals to make a difference, as part of the Champions of Change Program running during Youth Week from 10 to 17 April 2025.

This year’s theme, Our Threads, This Place, Your Moment!, celebrates young people’s connection to their communities and the role they play in shaping the future.

The Champions of Change Youth Program is designed to inspire young people to become proactive change agents in their communities through a series of engaging workshops and events. The program will focus on leadership, learning, and personal growth, empowering young people to make a positive impact.

Mayor Margaret Thomas is thrilled to see the program come to life “Our young people are the heartbeat of our community, and the Champions of Change program is a fantastic opportunity to equip them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to lead and inspire. By investing in youth leadership and development, we are building a stronger, more resilient Kalamunda for the future.”

“Our Kalamunda Futures Youth Plan is all about empowering young people, ensuring they have access to opportunities that support their growth and aspirations. The Champions of Change program aligns perfectly with this vision, encouraging our youth to step up and create meaningful change in their communities.”

Throughout Youth Week, a diverse range of workshops will be available, catering to different interests and aspirations. Whether young people are passionate about sustainability, eager to learn essential first aid skills, looking to strengthen their mental resilience in sport, or simply keen to develop new skills, the program has something for everyone.

All events are free, but registrations are essential. Young people are encouraged to take advantage of this exciting opportunity by securing their place at https://www.trybooking.com/CYUSB.
