Jump Start: Fitness Programs for High School Students (Years 7-11)

Jump Start is a fitness series designed specifically for teens, offering a safe, supportive environment where they can learn the fundamentals of fitness from qualified gym instructors. The program aims to help teens begin their fitness journey with proper guidance and technique.

Location: Hartfield Park Recreation Centre 

Jump Start is a fitness series designed specifically for teens, offering a safe, supportive environment where they can learn the fundamentals of fitness from qualified gym instructors. The program aims to help teens begin their fitness journey with proper guidance and technique. 

Jump Start Intro – Thursdays 4:00pm - 5:00pm 
This is the first stage of Jump Start, a term-long progression program designed to introduce teens to fitness. 

  • Cost per term: $70.00 

Jump Start Strength – Wednesdays 4:00pm - 5:00pm 
After students attend the Jump Start Intro program, they can attend Jump Start Strength on a Wednesday. 

  • Cost per session: $10.00 

New Jump Start Gym-Based – Fridays 4:00pm - 5:00pm 
In this casual class, students follow a personalised fitness program with guidance from a gym instructor. A program appraisal* is required before starting this class. 

  • Cost per session: $10.00 
  • Program Appraisal: $45 (includes access to the MyWellness app)

Program Notes: 

  • All programs run only during the school term.
  • It is a prerequisite to complete Jump Start Intro before attending the stage 2 Jump Start Strength and Jump Start Gym-Based classes. *Jump Start Gym-Based classes, a one-off gym appraisal ($45.00) is required.
