Pre-register for the 2024 Garage Sale Trail!
The Garage Sale Trail is Australia’s biggest weekend of reuse and community with over 10,000 garage sales, two (2) million items listed for sale and over 350,000 sellers and shoppers taking part across the nation.
The event is about encouraging us all to reuse the stuff we no longer want and get to know our community better. We all know that recycling is great but reusing stuff you no longer want is even better. It extends the value of the stuff we buy and takes pressure off the planet’s precious resources.
The Garage Trail Sale is Australia’s largest sustainability and re-use event which aims to build community spirit and encourage the diversion of waste from landfill. Now in its seventh year, the Garage Sale Trail, is a free, council powered day of garage sales that attracts over 300,000 bargain-loving shoppers nationally with over two (2) million pre-loved items up for sale.
The Garage Sale Trail is a free program which enables community members to participate by hosting a garage sale or attending one. Residents can attend a garage sale by visiting the Garage Trail Sale website to search for registered garage sales in their local area they can visit.
Residents can host garage sales by registering their garage sale on the Garage Sale Trail website which is then promoted via the website and the smart phone app. Residents wishing to participate in the Garage Sale Trail can register their own garage sale by visiting the Garage Sale Trail website.
