A recycling hub located at various locations in the City of KalamundaThere are various drop off / collection points in the City of Kalamunda for household (dry cell) batteries, light globes, mobile phones and ink cartridges. These include:

  • Centro Kalamunda, Railway Road, Kalamunda - rear entrance via Central Road 
  • Hawaiian’s Forrestfield, 20 Strelitzia Avenue, Forrestfield - near entrance by Dome

Mattresses & Whitegoods Collection

The City of Kalamunda offers a mattress and whitegoods collections service. To arrange collection and payment of your mattress and whitegoods please contact the City on 9257 9999 or visit the Administration building at 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda. View current fees for this service here.

Please note: we do not collect TV's or furniture. TV's can be taken to the transfer station free of charge (with your Entry Pass and ID). 

Residents need to advise the customer service officer of the date the items will be placed on the verge for collection. Please ensure the items are placed on the verge by 7am by the date advised. Please note we are unable to collect from private property due to insurance purposes.

We endeavour to collect items as quickly as possible, however please allow 2 - 5 business days. Whitegoods, such as fridges and air-conditioning units, do not have to be degassed.

For a refund to be applicable, items must be cancelled prior to the Waste Crew attending. If our Crew have already attended once and items are not on the verge, we will only attend once more.
