About:
Ray Owen Reserve is a large, mixed-use
City reserve located on the corner of Gladys
Road and Willoughby Road, Lesmurdie. In
addition to a recreation facility, outdoor netball courts, a sports oval and a BMX club, the reserve contains approximately 4ha of urban bushland.
This remnant of the original Hills Forest is jointly managed by the City of Kalamunda and the Friends of Ray Owen Group (FROG), who undertake regular rubbish removal, path maintenance, mulch spreading, weed control and tree planting activities with their members. Most members of FROG are local Lesmurdie residents who wish to see the bushland looked after for amenity and environmental reason.
If you’d like to get involved with the Friends Group, please contact us (details below).
