Council at its Ordinary Meeting held 26 May 2020 resolved to adopt the Omnibus Amendment to Local Planning Policy 10, 11, and 16, pursuant to Clause 5(2) of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of Council will be held in the Council Chambers, Administration Centre, 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda, on: Tuesday 30 June 2020 commencing at 6.30 pm.

A Special Meeting of Council was held in the Council Chambers, Administration Centre, 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda, on Tuesday 19 May 2020 commencing at 6.30 pm. The purpose of the meeting and order of business was Lot 3 (415) Mundaring Weir Road, Piesse Brook – Application to Increase Patron Numbers.

Fire Control Officers will now start issuing Fire Permits from 1 May 2020.

Please note the City of Kalamunda has closed all Playgrounds and Skateparks in accordance with the direction of the National Cabinet effective immediately.

City of Kalamunda Councillors and staff have been working tirelessly to understand and prepare for the local financial and social impacts as the COVID-19 crisis unfolds.

The City of Kalamunda has closed its public facilities due to COVID-19 from 12pm, Monday 23rd March, citing the need to all act now and help flatten the curve in the wake of the pandemic. Mayor Margaret Thomas today announced the closure of all City recreation centres, libraries, cultural centres, including the Zig Zag Cultural Centre and History Village, Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre and the Kalamunda Water Park.

The closure of the City’s facilities is due to yesterday’s Federal announcement and the new WA Government stage one restrictions on social gatherings. This means the City of Kalamunda will be closing a number of facilities to the public from Monday, 23 March 2020 12noon until further notice.
