Funding: The Project will be funded 50 / 50 by a Department of Transport Western Australian Bicycle Network (WABN) grant and the City.
Works are scheduled to commence shortly for the construction of a new 1.4km shared path for the south side of Berkshire Road, and the east side of Dundas Road. This path will connect residents and workers to existing paths along Roe Highway and to the new High Wycombe Train Station.
Note that this path is in addition to the pedestrian path being provided on the north side of Berkshire Road as part of the Forrestfield Industrial Area Development Contribution Scheme.
These scheduled works are estimated to take several weeks to complete. The time-frames provided could vary slightly due to weather conditions and contractor availability.
Properties located adjacent to the proposed works may experience disturbance to the verge, which may include crossovers, reticulation, and lawns. Any such disturbances will be fully reinstated after the completion of the works. Business access will be maintained as much as possible and a project manager will be in contact to make arrangements with businesses .
Traffic management and detours may be in place during various periods of this upgrade. Please be patient and follow signage and directions accordingly.
