All plants are tube stock or smaller. The program aims to promote the re-vegetation of residential and rural properties with local native trees, shrubs and groundcovers. Planting not only improves landscape quality but also provides an array of environmental benefits such as shade, carbon sequestration and shelter for birds, reptiles and small mammals.
The 2023 program saw 50 different varieties of local native plant species totaling over 13,000 seedlings given to residents!
For 2024 the Plants for Residents program will operate under a ‘click and pick’ model.
Residents can view, select and order their plants (up to a maximum of 15) and select a time-slot for collection using the booking system. Plants will be distributed evenly over all available timeslots to ensure there is fair distribution of all plant species regardless of the timeslot selected by a resident. If your plant preference is exhausted in one timeslot, please check other timeslots to see if there is still availability.
The 2024 plant list will be confirmed and released by suppliers by 5pm on Wednesday 17 April 2024.
One order per household only. First order received will be deemed the valid order.
NOTE: Residents can only select ONE timeslot for plant ordering and collection.
